Finding Inspiration in Every Turn
Street Whyze Project CIC was founded in December 2021, initially as a community campaign on Facebook to raise awareness and take action against knife crime and youth violence in East Staffordshire and South Derbyshire. The initiative was launched in response to the tragic loss of two young lives in these areas, highlighting the urgent need for preventative action and community-led solutions.

In February 2022, award-winning founder Danny Mondesir, who has been a prominent speaker on knife crime across the West Midlands for over eight years, formally incorporated Street Whyze Project as a Community Interest Company (CIC). His vision was to deliver targeted interventions that address the root causes of youth violence and disengagement.

Since then, Street Whyze has grown into a leading and respected provider of youth-focused programmes across the Midlands, offering awareness talks, mentoring, youth voice initiatives, diversity sessions, and community interventions. The organisation is recognised for its innovative, authentic, and aspirational approach to engaging young people and inspiring positive change.
Building on this success, Street Whyze has now expanded to deliver a unique “Integrated Alternative Provision” service, which embeds targeted and individualised AP within school settings. This model ensures that students maintain access to education while achieving practical, measurable outcomes. The service is led by Academic Director Sharon Holford, who brings a wealth of experience in delivering high-quality education in some of the most challenging inclusion environments.

Drawing on his own lived experiences growing up in Hackney, East London—an area once known as “Murder Mile”—Danny delivers a powerful and relatable message that resonates deeply with young audiences. His extensive background across youth services, inclusion, the criminal justice system, pastoral and behaviour management, youth social services, mental health, and the armed forces gives him a unique insight into the complex challenges young people face. This diverse experience enables him to create motivational narratives that encourage resilience, ambition, and personal growth.
